TME’s offer now also includes GPS/GNSS positioning modules manufactured by Taiwanese company Yuechung International Corp. (YIC).
Solutions offered by TME include modules with or without an integrated, active antenna. GPS/GLONASS receivers by YIC are powered by popular SoC chips from Mediatek (MT3337 / MT3339), Realtek (RTL8771) and u-Blox (u-Blox7 and u-Blox8 series). The modules communicate with MASTER devices via commonly applied I2C, UART and USB protocols. Devices manufactured by YIC are characterized by short TTFF (Time to First Fix) time measured from the moment the device is switched on until its position is calculated on the basis of data acquired from GPS/GNSS satellites. They operate in the industrial temperature range (-40°C ~ +85°C).
YIC modules are widely applied in telecommunications, IoT equipment, as well as industrial, medical and consumer electronics.
